THE ARCHIVES
Historic film in the South East is held in many collections including Screen Archive South East (at the University of Brighton) and the Wessex Film & Sound Archive (at the Hampshire Record Office).

The films in these archives reflect in many different ways the experiences of living in this part of England from the 1890s, especially the key themes that have inspired these projects, the themes of home, place and identity.

Projects supported by DFAF also drew on private collections of home movie film - some now seen publicly for the first time.
